Sargent Wildlife Area Map

We will be working on the 1800-ft long elk interpretive trail at the Edward Sargent Wildlife Management Area just outside of Chama. We will be doing trail maintenance and repair of some interpretive signs. Chama is located about 100 miles north of Santa Fe. Follow Hwy 285/84 north from Santa Fe and stay straight on 84 when the routes split north of Espanola. In Chama, follow the main street (Hwy 17) north through town past the train station. Turn left on First Street, right on Pine Street and follow the signs to the Sargent Wildlife Area. Details on camping in the area are forthcoming; contact leader for more information.
