THIS WILL BE A ONE DAY PROJECT. We will continue clearing the last 1/4 mile of Turkey Spring Trail of windfall to the Bandelier National Monument Boundary. We will also reestablish trail tread, retaining walls, and drainage features where needed. We will also prune the trail corridor for proper site distance. As with all NMVFO projects, all tools and instruction are provided.
From I-25 between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, take exit 264 west to Cochiti Lake. Meet at the Cochiti convenience store and gas station, about a mile past the dam, at 8:30 AM. We will carpool from there to the trailhead on Forest Road 289. Phyllis can take 5 people.
