Map to Riverside Park, Aztec

We will be working with Aztec Trails and Open Space in the Riverside Park in Aztec. We plan to install a number of timbers in the trail to make steps. We may also be erecting a small bridge over a ditch. Camping will be available in the park with water, electricity, showers, toilets, picnic tables and picnic shelters. The work site is only 200 yards from the campsite. The hosting organization may provide an interpretive program at the Aztec Ruins National Park on Saturday evening. We’ll gather Friday evening April 8th and begin work Saturday morning continuing through noon on Sunday, April 10th. VFO will provide Saturday breakfast and dinner and Sunday breakfast. Please bring your own lunches for the weekend.

From I-25 take exit 242 in Bernalillo. Continue west/northwest on State Highway 550 for 151 miles to Bloomfield. At Bloomfield take a slight jog to the right (West Broadway) about 1/3 of a mile and then left on North 1st Street. This is still NM 550. You reach Aztec in another 8 miles. At West Chaco take a left. Chaco soon merges with Aztec Blvd. Continue west 4 streets and at South Light Plant Rd. take a left and continue south to the end of the road.
