Have fun, learn, and eat! This year we are combining our first social of the year with workshops for project leaders and project cooks. The event will be held at the Courtyards on Cutler between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. This year's project leaders and cooks are encouraged to attend, to brush up on volunteer safety, accommodating and welcoming new volunteers, working with our public land agencies, pre-planning your project, and dealing with problems that may come along during the course of the project. If you aspire to be a project leader or cook, please attend this event. It will be beneficial to you and the VFO. Beginning at noon, the training ends and the food and refreshments begin. The public will be invited to attend our Spring Social, from noon until 2:00 PM. There will be slide shows and the unveiling of our 2011 event schedule. So for project leaders, this will be a great time to recruit volunteers for your project. See you there.
