PROJECT SCHEDULING PROCESSOur annual schedule is developed by the Projects Committee, which usually meets in October and December. The first meeting kicks off our project selection and scheduling efforts, with discussions of our goals, objectives, processes, and suggestions for improvement. The expected outcomes are for all Committee members to understand our project selection/scheduling process, and for prospective project leaders to contact agencies asking them to prepare and submit proposals. At the second meeting, each submitted proposal is discussed and scheduled in our project calendar, with project leader, project cook, and agency representative identified. Over the next several weeks, the schedule is fine-tuned, with late proposal submittals considered, conflicts resolved, leader and cook positions confirmed, and dates finalized. The resultant schedule is presented for review and approval by the Board of Directors, and is usually published in late February. The following are points to note in this process:
